The tobacco

Its Majesty Tobacco – a plant difficult to imagine for those who have not seen it, perhaps walking among the rows with their nose to the sky, so tall and sumptuous it appears in its wide volutes of baroque leaves. A plant that was wealth and slavery, the leaves drying to a leather color with an unmistakable smell, so strong as to make those who worked in the factories lose their breath, but also the liberation for those who, cultivating it, found independence and freedom.
